Woman 2nd vs Isca 3

North Devon 2 turned up to Park in pretty horrendous weather with but with a determination to unsettle ISCA 3 and we did just that, with a great run from Edie in the first 5 mins that saw Regina finishing it off and putting us ahead for the first time this season.

ISCA drove hard with a counter attack but North showed great strength in midfield, defence and with some great saves by Amanda we kept them at bay for the next 15 minutes. Unfortunately, after a further flurry of attacks and a penalty corner the visitors were 3-1 ahead at half time.

Many positives were shared at half time and we went back out knowing there wasn't much separating the two teams. At 55 minutes ISCA scored again off a penalty corner which seemed to ignite North Devon's fire as 2 minutes later Gaby drove into the D and took on the goal keeper and found the back of the net. 5 Minutes after that North Devon were awarded a penalty corner, Sally took the strike and then picked up the rebound off the keeper drove towards the goal, and Edie put it away to bring the game to 4-3. North Devon took charge of the 2nd half and saw great performances from everyone on the team. Well done everyone- definitely our best performance to date.
